The weatherman predicted it well and snow began last night, lovely soft benign snow to precede the freezing rain and sleet that followed.
Outgoing Governor declared a state of emergency and canceled all of today's nonessential Inaugural activities. [This will not affect me. grin]

Thick blows my frosty breath abroad;
And tree and house, and hill and lake,
Are frosted like a wedding cake.

We had no snow but I had icicles hanging from my bird feeders. It was so pretty. By noon or so everything had icicles, even the pecan trees. Wish it was snow! (spelling icicles has been an all day battle with my computers!)
Your snow moved on to us hours later. We've enjoyed being snowed in. Looks like we'll have at least 3 snow days at home.
